What time do the doors open?
Doors generally open 1/2 hour before show-time.  It is best to arrive at least 15 minutes before show-time.

Do the guests HAVE to participate?
No, you can participate as much or as little as you like.  (The voyeur at heart will be happy to know that passively watching our shows IS possible).

Do you perform on a stage?
No.  The action takes place in the audience as you become a part of the show.   We perform throughout the room, before, during and after dinner is served. The audience becomes part of the cast as crimes are committed and a mystery is solved. Guests have the opportunity to question suspects -- and may even become one!

Are Vegetarian meals available?
Yes.  If you don't see it mentioned anywhere, please ask when making reservations.  The Restaurants and Caterers we work with are very accommodating.

Are these shows suitable for children?
ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN UNDER 7 YEARS OF AGE.
Our shows are meant for adults.  If your child can sit still and pay attention for a couple of hours they should be fine.  Some shows contain offensive language and/or sexual innuendo.  We post a "May not be suitable for children" on our ads and flyers etc. for Productions that may not be suitable for children.  Otherwise, we have found that the parent is the best judge.  If you are concerned please ask.  We will be happy to tell you the type of content for the show you are planning to attend.

Why are admission prices different at different locations?
Admission prices vary depending on Venue location, Menu and type of service (served meal or buffet).

Served Dinner or Buffet?
Our shows work well with both served and buffet dinners the choice is determined by the venue.

Do the Actors serve the meals?
No.  Our Actors are not servers.

What are the best seats?
Seating is on a first come first served basis.  Since the show goes on throughout the room, there are really no bad seats.  However, the better seats would be those around the perimeter of the room facing in towards the center.

Tell me about a typical show?
Shows last approximately 2 hours depending on the amount of audience participation.  All actors are in character from the time the doors open until the end of the performance.
The only constant time is the approximate time dinner is served.  From that point on, times vary depending on the size of the audience and the amount of audience participation.
½ hour before showtime - Guest check-in and seating, cocktails.
Dinner will be served 10 to 15 minutes after the start of the show.
Dinner Break will be long enough for all guests to be served or pass through the Buffet.
Once all guest have their meal, the show continues on.
Throughout the rest of the evening there are breaks built into the show to allow guests to order drinks or visit the restroom etc., these breaks also allow for table clearing and serving of dessert etc.
During the evening there will be one or more murders, a period of time where guests have the opportunity to bribe suspects for additional clues and a question and answer period where the guests have the opportunity to question the suspects themselves.
During the final break, guests fill out a crime report indicating who they think did it, the murder weapon and motive.
At the end of the evening, a prize is awarded to the person who came closest to the truth on their crime report.

What are the "Rules of the House"?
Each audience member receives a "Dossier" along with their Program and other related items when they are seated.  The "Dossier" contains additional clues, space to write notes and the "Crime Report".  It has one or more seals that are not to be opened until instructructed to do so by a cast member.  Other rules are as follows:

Do not open any seals on any documents provided to you during the show until you are told to do so.

All Cell Phones and Pagers should be set to "Manner Mode" during the performance.

The Actors will engage you immediately.  They will not be offended if you do not engage them back.

The Actors have scenes they will perform which are vital to the plot and the mystery. When they are performing scenes, please do not interrupt. There is plenty of time between scenes, during meals, etc when you may talk with the suspects.

Pay close attention to everything if you wish to solve the crimes. Our mysteries are purposefully difficult, but are solveable.

Clues can be anywhere you can be, at anytime.

Liars are liars and killers are killers. Most killers are also liars.

You will have the opoortunity to solve whatever crimes occur at the end of the evening.

May the best Sleuth win!
